Shade Clothing and BYU Cheer Squad and Cougarettes Advocate Modest Clothing at
Athletic Events

AMERICAN FORK, Utah (September 10, 2008) – Shade Clothing, the first company to infuse modesty into today’s hottest fashion trends, announced a partnership with Brigham Young University (BYU) to be the title sponsor of the BYU cheer squad and the seven-time College Dance Team National Champions, the Cougarettes, from September 2008 through April 2010.

As part of the partnership, Shade Clothing will be providing warm-up gear for the cheer squad and Cougarettes. Shade Clothing will also sponsor the BYU cheer squad and Cougarettes at all National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) sporting events on the BYU campus, including football and basketball among other sports. In addition to the two performing teams wearing Shade products, Shade tees will be thrown into the crowd at many of the athletic events as part of the entertainment.

“It was an obvious partnership,” said Chelsea Rippy, founder and CEO of Shade Clothing. “As a company that is focused on creating modest, fashionable clothing, Shade continually looks for opportunities to support women who represent the same values. We are excited to work with the Cheer Squad and Cougarettes in the coming year.”

“Our Cougarettes and cheer squad are excited about the opportunity to help promote Shade Clothing,” said David Almodova, Director of Marketing for BYU Athletics. “BYU advocates modest dress standards, so we are thrilled to be working with a local company that offers appropriate styles that are modern and chic.”

New Shade Store Opens!!

NEW SHADE STORE OPENS AT THE DISTRICT IN SOUTH JORDAN, GRAND OPENING SEPT. 19-20
-Shade’s first retail store in Salt Lake County-

AMERICAN FORK, Utah (Sept. 16, 2008) – Shade Clothing, the first company to infuse modesty into today’s hottest fashion trends, has opened a store at the District in South Jordan. This store is Shade’s fifth retail location and the first store to be opened in Salt Lake County.

“We have made remarkable strides since the launch of our company and the opening of four stores in the last year is proof there is a real demand for our product,” said Chelsea Rippy, founder and CEO of Shade Clothing. “We are thrilled to be a part of the South Jordan community and to have a presence in Salt Lake County.”

The Shade store at The District in South Jordan is located at 11400 South Bangerter Highway and employs 6 people. The store officially opened its doors on Sept. 11th.

The store is hosting its grand opening September 19 to 20, 2008. Shade will give away a free lace hem camisole with every $30 purchase during the grand opening weekend and will also be holding drawings for gift baskets, which will include Shade gift cards and other great prizes. Store hours are 10 am to 9 pm.

The store opening is a reflection of significant sales growth as the demand for Shade's modest, fashionable styles continues to grow. As Shade Clothing celebrates its fourth anniversary this month, they plan to continue their expansion by updating and adding to their assortment each season and increasing their number of retail locations.

The South Jordan location is Shade’s fifth store. The other stores are located in American Fork, Orem, Centerville and St. George. Shade products are also available for purchase online, as well as through Personal Shoppers and in select department stores, boutiques and wholesalers around the country. Shade Clothing - 3 years and counting

American Fork, Utah,(September 2007) Shade Clothing, the first company to infuse modest clothing into today's hottest fashion trends, is celebrating its third anniversary this September. The company marked this milestone by announcing it had completed $8.275 million in sales during its third year, more than tripling the $2.2 million in sales in Shade's debut year.

In addition to continued sales growth, Shade is also generating attention for its commitment to modest fashion. Over the past year, Shade has been featured in dozens of media outlets, including New York Times Magazine, U.S. News & World Report, Newsweek, Good Morning America and Your World with Neil Cavuto on FOX News.

"When I launched Shade three years ago, my thought was that if I needed more modest tops, maybe there would be a few other women who were looking for something more modest as well," said Chelsea Rippy, Shade founder and CEO. "Now as I look into the future, I really understand the demand and the opportunity for Shade in this niche market, which we really created. There will always be women who want to look fashionable and feel comfortable, and regardless of what trends other designers embrace, Shade will always offer stylish and modest clothing."

Key growth factors over the past year include the debut of several new brands, including Basic Black, a semiformal dress collection; and Shade Swim, flattering and stylish swim separates. Shade also added new products and colors to its popular Basics, Girly and Maternity clothing lines. In addition to Shade's growing product lines, Shade significantly expanded its distribution in retail locations. Shade products are now available in high-end fashion boutiques in 30 U.S. states and Canada. Shade also entered into a relationship with Macy's department stores, which currently carries Basic Black in select locations.

"Women want options when it comes to their wardrobe, and retailers know it," said Rippy. "Not everyone is comfortable showing off their midsection or their upper arms or too much cleavage. Shade allows women to feel trendy and stylish, but also feel comfortable and covered. Retailers want to give their customers that choice."

Shade's plans for the upcoming year include the continued updating of Shade's lines with the hottest looks and trends for each season; expanding Shade Swim to include more separates; launching a new line, Shade Solutions, which will feature slimming slips and extender slips; and the continued growth of retail locations and number of Personal Shoppers that sell Shade products.

Shade fashions, including Shade shirts, Basic Black, Shade Swim, and Shade Solutions, can be purchased online, in select retail locations, or through Shade Personal Shoppers. Visit www.shadeclothing.com to locate the nearest Personal Shopper or retail location.
